Murrayfield to Twickenham Stadium! February 2025
Raised a phenomenal £8,473.13 (£6,878.21 + £1,594.92 Gift Aid)
We are so proud of our 4 Lewis Leap Heroes –Ian Johnson (Lewis’ Dad), Andy McMillan (Lewis’ Brother-in-law), Willie Guild (Lewis’ Uncle) and Hugo O’Neil (amazing family friend) who jumped back on their bikes for Lewis Leap! Ably assisted by Gordon Smith in the support van.
•This time 466 miles from Murrayfield to Twickenham stadium in time for the Calcutta Cup. Through wind, rain and SNOW!

Cargilfield School –Nominated Charity 2023/2024

Lewis Leap was one of four lucky organisations to be chosen by Cargilfield School in Cramond as their nominated charity to support for the academic year 2023/2024.
We had great fun on their Sponsored Walk from Blackness Castle to Cramond & loved attending their Christmas Fair.
We were over the moon to receive a massive donation for £3,500 – thank you to all the young people, parents and staff at Cargilfield for supporting our charity.

Lewis’ Mum Elizabeth, Lewis’ Auntie Elaine and 3 close family friends Vicki Bygrave, Anita Morrison and Rebecca Mill birled their bahoochies around the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise fund for Lewis Leap.
•It was a fantastic day with lots of laughs and thankfully no blisters.

Lewis Leap Dog Show –August 2024

Meet Dallas! Winner of our Cutest Puppy and Best in Show at our 3rdLewis Leap Dog Show in Cammo! So adorable!
We had a fantastic turnout and there was a lovely community atmosphere with loads of chat and laughter.
Thanks to everyone who supported us on the day and those who made donations to the Bottle Stall and Raffle Draw.

Keith Miller’s Aberdeenshire Cycle –August 2024
Raised -£1,807.06 (£1,455.81 + Gift Aid £351.25)
Lewis’ Uncle Keith completed a 2-day 220km cycle around Aberdeenshire stopping along the way at many, if not all the places the Miller family lived growing up.
•Starting in Aberdeen, then Insch, Rhynie, Huntly, Ordiquhill, Banff, Fetterangus and finishing back in Aberdeen at The Fittie Bar –across the road from Clarence Street where Lewis’ Papa George Miller grew up. Keith was ably assisted

Debbie Metafit Spinathon –April 2024
Raised -£1,008.75
Debbie Young kept the party atmosphere pumping and the legs burning for the whole 6 hours of Metafit –Debbie Spinathon!

There were hills (lots of them), there were high gears (& a few low), there was hovering, there was sprinting, totally bouncing tunes, lots of sweat and awesome flapjacks to fuel everyone along the way!

December 2023 -Pavers Foundation donated £1,000! Thanks to Darren the parent of one of The Royal High School S2 Rugby Team for organising.
March 2024 –Trinity Park Foundation donated £1,200! Thanks to Lorna McCrae our friend and one of Lewis Leap’s biggest supporters for arranging through her work.
October 2024 -Scotmid Community Grant –donated £150! Thanks for supporting Lewis Leap!

Yvonne Mair’s EPIC EPIC Adventure! - November 2023
Raised £3,905.27 (£3,294.02 + £611.25 Gift Aid)
Yvonne, Lewis' Godmother, wanted to celebrate his 18th birthday in a memorable way, and she certainly succeeded! For 18 consecutive days, she took on an challenge: running or hiking 18 miles, cycling 18 miles, swimming 1 mile, and completing 18 circuit exercises with 50 reps each. What an epic way to commemorate this milestone!

UNCLE WILLIE - THE GEORDIEMAN SEPTEMBER 2023
Raised Total of £833.62 (£711.62 + £122 Git Aid)
Lewis’ Uncle Willie took on and survived The GeordieMan 70.3 Triathlon. Starting with 1.2-mile swim, followed by 56-mile cycle, finishing with a half marathon run. We’re tired just writing this, well done Willie.

THE BIG CYCLE - LONDON TO PARIS SEPTEMBER 2023

MIKE & WILLIE'S RIDE TO THE SUN -Â JUNE 2023

Family Friend Mike Dunne and Lewis' Uncle Willie (Guild) set off from Carlisle on Saturday 24th June and cycled 100 miles through the night to arrive at Cramond foreshore in Edinburgh to watch a beautiful sunrise. There were stops for fish & chips at Moffat before the notoriously hard climb up the Devil's Beef Tub, then it was downhill to the Cyclo Rave & an energising banana refuel.

And we hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. There was such a lovely atmosphere with so many happy owners, gorgeous dogs and busy volunteers. We were totally overwhelmed by the fantastic turnout, thank you so much for supporting our charity and keeping Lewis in everyone's thoughts.

JACK'S MARATHON EFFORT - MAY 2022

FAMILY FRIEND JACK FLORENCE TOOK ON THE EDINBURGH MARATHON
26.2 MILES OF HARD RUNNING STARTING IN HOLYROOD PARK, THROUGH THE STREETS OF EDINBURGH AND ALONG THE COAST TO MUSSELBURGH & LONGNIDDRY. RETURNING TO MUSSELBURGH FOR A WELL EARNED REST & BEER.

INACCESSIBLE PINNACLE - APRIL 2022
RAISED OVER £1,000
Two of Lewis' wonderful uncles and friends were mad enough to think that climbing the Inaccessible Pinnacle on the Isle of Skye was a grand way to spend a weekend and raise funds for Lewis Leap.  We say thank goodness for mad uncles!
It's the only one of the 282 Munros that requires ropes to climb, so no easy task.
We were blessed with phenomenal weather and no midges, great result all round!

MILLIE & ANANYA'S VIRTUAL KILTWALK - APRILÂ 2021
RAISED OVER £3,100
On 23-25 April Millie (Lewis' sister), Ananya and 11,000 other Kiltwalkers took part in the biggest and best ever Virtual Kiltwalk across Scotland.  Millie & Ananya walked 32 miles in and around Edinburgh, visiting South Queensferry & Portobello.  Well done girls and fantastic fund-raising.

RIDE TO THE SUN JUNE 2021

Ian (Lewis' Dad), Nathan, Kevin, Neil, Lewis, Elaine, Iain (Lewis' Uncle) & Donny's Big Cycle. They cycled 100 miles through the night leaving Carlisle at 8pm finishing at Cramond beach outside Edinburgh for sunrise the following day. Everyone remembers the hill out of Moffat!

LANDS END TO JOHN O'GROATS - JULY 2021
RAISED OVER £5,000!
A group of 7 enthusiastic cyclists (not athletes!), Barrie Wharton, Carl Best, Donny McLeod, Ian Dunhill, Iain Miller (Lewis’s Uncle), Jay Talbot and Rob Hooker, took on the Lands End to John O’ Groats Cycle ride over 6 days in support of fledgling youth charity, Lewis Leap. Covering approximately 150 miles each day, with stops at Taunton, Shrewsbury, Kendall, Edinburgh and Aviemore, the team arrived in John O’ Groats on 10 July 2021, two years to the day when Lewis was cruelly taken from our lives.

CRAMOND KIRK JUMBLE SALE - MARCH 2022

The lovely people of Cramond Kirk always organise one of the best jumble sales in Edinburgh with all your favourite stalls, home baking being our favourite!
Lewis Leap & Fresh Start were the lucky recipients of the proceeds.  HUGE THANKS TO ALL WHO ORGANISED (Helen pictured) AND THOSE WHO SHOPPED!

LITTLE MONKEYS NURSERY LEWIS LEAP HONEY - DECEMBER 2020 & 2022
RAISED OVER £2,400 & £1,182 - BUSY BEES!
Little Monkeys Nursery owner Grace Kerr and her business partner Valerie Broomfield have raised more than £3,582 by selling jars of their Lewis Leap Runny Honey to nursery parents & matching donations. Kinross based Webster Honey sited the hive on the roof of the nursery in 2019 and due to exceptionally fine Spring & Summer weather, coupled with less pollution over lockdown, a bumper honey crop followed and then a second crop in 2022.  Lewis was one of the first children to attend Little Monkeys at Cramond enjoying lots of fun times.

LEWIS LEAP CHRISTMAS WREATHS - DECEMBER 2020, 2021, 2022
RAISED OVER £8,000, £6,000 & £8,142 RESPECTIVELY
Family friends planned and executed what has become our annual Christmas event.  Selling over 300 wreath making kits and garlands in Edinburgh and beyond!  Each year we try to change things slightly and add new products like Bauble Wreaths, Bauble Garland & Christmas Pots to keep it feeling fresh and exciting. Hopefully bringing festive cheer & making memories! Look out for our 2023 event coming in November.

ROWLANDS GILL BURNS SUPPER JANUARY 2020

They danced, they sang!
They ate Cullen Skink, Haggis, Neeps & Tatties and Trifle!Â
They toasted the bard with a dram or two!
And chose Lewis Leap as the recipient of the evenings proceeds. Â Thanks to the Scottish organisers for an awesome evening and bringing a bit of Caledonia to Tyne & Wear.

THE FIRST EVER EVENT FOR LEWIS LEAP!!
EVA'S BAKE & TOY SALE CRAMOND SCHOOL - NOVEMBER 2019

Lewis' youngest sister Eva staged the first ever event to raise funds for Lewis Leap.  Eva and her school friends baked cakes and donated pre-loved toys, books and clothes raising a whopping £1,325. FANTASTIC ORGANISING & SELLING SKILLS EVERYONE!
STEVE & LAUREN'S CROSS BORDER TRAIL

This summer Lauren and I are took on a 2 day walk through some of the most beautiful areas between Scotland and England covering a distance of about 40km. We wanted to do something to show that even two city slickers can throw on the walking boots and keep up with the best. No matter what age you are, if you want to do something then do it! We can all take our own Lewis Leap!
